Ben Weidmann

I'm an assistant professor of economics at UCL in London, and a research fellow at the London School of Economics. I co-founded the Skills Lab with David Deming after completing my PhD at Harvard in 2021.

I am an experimental labor economist with a background in education. I develop performance-based measures of teamwork, emotional perceptiveness, management and decision-making. I am keen to understand how AI changes demand for these skills.

My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the QJE, Econometrica, Management Science and the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society (Series A).
